Real Estate Market Update | Boston | August 2021 Vs July 2021

Welcome to The Griffin Real Estate Market Update!

If you’re thinking about buying or selling residential real estate, it’s important to understand the current market trends. 

According to MLSPIN, the marketplace for Boston residential  properties, here’s what happened in August 2021 versus July 2021: 

The Number of SOLD listings decreased by 27% to 163 properties with a top sale of $15.15 million at 7 Mount Vernon Place in Boston. 

The Average Sales Price decreased by 3% to $1.51 million moving the Average Price Per Square Foot down to $1068 per square foot. 

The inventory of properties available for sale as measured in months supply decreased by 21% to 3.64 months worth of properties for sale. 

The average 30 years fixed mortgage rate had no change with to  3.04% according to Bank Rate.com
